itinerary:	~~ 01-Apr-2023 to 31-Mar-2025~~Valid for 01APR23-31MAR25: Experience the magnificent Freshwater Whiprays in the brand new Whipray Encounter available as part of the 3:30pm afternoon Aquarium show. Enjoy being guided by experienced handlers as you hand feed one of the friendly 2-meter-wide Whiprays. While the Top End’s waterways are more traditionally known for their crocodiles and barramundi, Freshwater Whiprays are native to the region and are the only Australian ray species to live exclusively in fresh and estuarine waters. Freshwater Whiprays are known to make their way onto riverbanks while chasing small fish, which we replicate in this new encounter as a great way to gain a greater appreciation for these amazing creatures, up close and in a safe environment. Get up close to these inquisitive creatures who are also very keen to get to know you. Be prepared to get splashed! A maximum of 4 guests per tour ensures this experience is both unique and personal. This encounter includes full day admission to Crocosaurus Cove.~~~~

Entry to the aquarium is at the participants’ own risk. - Please note that a part of the encounter may include offering food to the Whiprays and touching them. You have the choice to handle the fish food. - Throughout the year feeding response may be affected due to the Whiprays natural behaviours. - It is recommended to wear footwear that can be easily removed and avoid wearing long trousers. Loose items may need to be removed and stored during the encounter. - There is a good chance you may get splashed!
