Immerse yourself into the history of Mparn­twe (pro­nounced m’barn-twa), the Arrernte name of Alice Springs. Learn how it came to be the central hub of the Australian outback by visiting the historical sites that played a big part in the evolution of a town originally called Stuart and its progression to what Alice Springs is today. You’ll visit:

- School of the Air - Provides education to primary school children living on remote properties throughout the Northern Territory.

- Telegraph Station - The first European settlement in Alice Springs(originally Stuart). Learn how it relayed messages between Darwin and Adelaide for 150 years.

- Royal Flying Doctor Service - Delivers medical services and emergency evacuation flights to those who live and work in remote rural Australia.

- Anzac Hill - An amazing view of Alice Springs with the Spectacular backdrop of the MacDonnell Ranges.

All activities are considered very safe for all age groups. They do not require a high level of fitness or agility.

- Emu Run Experience reserves the right to cancel a Tour, Transfer or Private Charter at any time before departure and may cancel a trip due to terrorism, natural disasters, weather concerns, political instability, pandemic/epidemic or other external events it is not viable to operate the Tour, Transfer or Private Charter in the discretion.

- If the Tour is cancelled or Transfer or Private Charter you may transfer amounts paid to an alternate Tour/Transfer/Private Charter at the discretion or alternatively receive a full refund of the Tour/Transfer/Private Charter price.

- In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside the reasonable control, refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs already incurred for the Customer.

- Emu Run Experience is not responsible for any incidental expenses incurred as a result of cancellation of a Tour/Transfer/Private Charter including but not limited to travel to join the Tour/Transfer/Private Charter, accommodation or other fees payable to third party operators providing services in conjunction with the Tour/Transfer/Private Charter.

- A Tour, Transfer or Private Charter will not proceed unless the minimum number of quests required by Emu Run Experience is confirmed. Customers will be notified as soon as possible or at least 24 hours prior to the Tour/Transfer/Private Charter and an alternative date will be selected if you have booked a Public Tour/Transfer only.
