Nature
The first thing you’ll notice about the Territory, is its vibrant colours; lush green tropical forests, rich red soil, burning orange sunsets and pale blue ocean. Wildlife awakens to soft pink dawns, opening its eyes to a beautifully preserved environment. Travel to Kakadu’s famous Mamukala wetlands where colours are blurred as thousands of waterbirds take flight. Head out to the Mary River floodplains and watch brolgas roam alongside wallabies while kingfishers sting the air with their cackle. Get closer to paradise than you’ve ever been on Arnhem Land’s eastern coast, where you can walk for miles along blindingly white beaches. Feel yourself drawn to the Territory’s ochre heart, and experience the rocky wonders of Ayres Rock and Kings Canyon. And don’t miss the chance to get close to salt water crocodiles and stand next to termite mounds twice your size. What more could you ask for?
