We stayed at the
Holiday Inn Darwin, which is centrally located and fantastic value for money for families with the “kids eat free” offer when dining with adults. The swimming pool at the
Holiday Inn Darwin was very inviting after a day of exploring the
Territory Wildlife Park and the thrills of the
Jumping Crocodile Cruise.
We ventured to
Crocosaurus Cove, only a 5 minute walk from the
Holiday Inn Darwin, it’s a playground of crocodiles and an awesome adventure for children. The highlight for my son was being able to “swim with the crocs” and holding a young crocodile!
A day to remember was spent
fishing the waters of Darwin Harbour around the historical wrecks and tropical reefs; the morning was full of action with Fish Darwin. Watching and experiencing the excitement when you get that first bite is amazing. The crew was on hand to assist with baiting our lines and then served a delicious BBQ of prawns, croc burgers and salads!
My visit to
Darwin with my son was a holiday of a lifetime and one we both still talk about today to friends and family.
