Bird Watching Adventures in the Northern Territory

With a diverse array of species and ecosystems, the Northern Territory is the perfect place to come for a bird watching adventure.

There are four bird species that soar only these skies and cannot be seen anywhere else in the world - the white-throated grasswren, white-lined honeyeater, hooded parrot and chestnut-quilled rock pigeon. A further 14 rare species, including abundant Gouldian finch, rainbow pitta and chestnut rail can also be spotted in the Northern Territory.

Territory Discoveries offers a number of birding programs that provide enthusiasts with the chance to combine their passion for birds with our stunning natural backdrops and captivating Indigenous culture. Grab your binoculars and head out to the Territory for your next birding adventure.
